Chakra History

Chakras are originally known as the node or sometimes the energy center in a human body. They were first discovered by people while practicing spiritual practices and beliefs. The word Chakras was derived from Sanskrit “cakra” which meant the “wheel, circle,” or often referred as to the “wheel of life.” In recent times the chakras are channeled by the New Age healers through the use of their energy. They are mostly also used by the medical practitioners who are holistic and even in alternative medicine such as the reflexology, reiki as well as yoga.

In the religion of Hinduism, treatment of certain diseases was done using particular chakra to tap the spiritual energy systems. For every energy system, there was a different vibrating frequency which was none like the other. This would, therefore, mean that the every energy system would be responsible for a different aspect depending on the physical or emotional body. According to people from various fields like those who practice yoga as well as other eastern cultural traditions, each type of Chakra holds a different kind of energy. Consequently, when one type of chakra is blocked, all the other parts of the body are affected. The chakras when properly used are known to vitalize the physical body from illnesses such as headaches, blood clots as well as mental illnesses like depression and schizophrenia. Most traditional healers have been known to use the Chakras as a treatment tool for many years. They are mainly considered loci in providing life energy as well as prana. The prana flow among the chakras along pathways known as nadis which could be seen to work just as the neural pathways in the brain.

Mainly you find that there are seven main chakras that are famous as well as other smaller ones that also exist. Each type of chakra is recognized in a three-dimensional sphere usually aligned in the body in the form of ascending column starting from the base of the spine which the root is going all the way to the head or the crown. Every chakra is aligned with the different color which ranges from red in the root area through the spectrum often violet all the way to the head. The chakras have specific functions varying from their location in the body and their respective organs that they are attached to. Mainly they are associated with consciousness which or a classical element of the earth, air, fire or water. There are also many other distinguishing characteristics that the different types of chakras are associated with in the current times.

Many people do not recognize these powerful elements in the body. The majority are not aware that the chakras are in control of almost all the aspects in the human life and could perhaps be holding certain secrets of the soul. Scientific knowledge of the chakra system makes people have trust in them and have the need of taking care of them just as they do to other parts of the body. Medication and resting is one way of taking care of the chakra and also going for regular checkups.
