Red is the first Chakra color. It often referred to as the Root Chakra because it is closest to the earth and located in the base of your spine. Orange is the second Chakra. It is located directly above the red- between the base of your spine and below your belly button. Because of its location, it is associated with feelings like desire, pleasure, and creation. When someone is experiencing a block to this Chakra, it results in emotional distress.


Either referred to as the third Chakra or the Solar Plexus, the yellow Chakra is very important. It is located just above the navel and is associated with intense emotion like pride, joy, and anger. Many believe one?s ambition is stored here- a major reason why many focus on this Chakra.


The green Chakra lies where your heart does, and (you guessed it) is associated with the feelings of love, compassion, and peace. Love is such a strong emotion that it is experienced at all the previous layers of Chakra we have discussed until this point, but it is said to start here first.


The blue Chakra is located at your throat region and is responsible for how you communicate and express yourself. When people experience a block to this Chakra they can experience problems such as a struggle to express their feelings or be honest to those around them.


Indigo represents the third eye concept with Chakra. It is located at the center of your forehead, and many believe that this is where your life ambitions and ambitions of past lives are stored. Opening your third eye is a feat that so many who practice meditation hope to accomplish through practice.


Also known as the crown Chakra, the violet Chakra is located at the top of your head. It is associated with understanding and bliss. This Chakra is what allows you to develop a connection to God or the divine power.
